One rate. Every site. No exceptions.

Why the price never moves

The rate is the same for every site because it has to be. Corterve operates the site relationship inside the referral-services safe harbour at 42 C.F.R. § 1001.952(f), which requires a fee assessed equally against and collected equally from all participants and based only on the cost of operating the referral service. That means no per-site negotiation, no volume discount, and no network discount — a network pays this rate per site, billed centrally. A discount granted to a higher-referring site would itself be a referral-linked benefit.

If you have ever been offered a better rate for sending more referrals, you have been offered something that a central IRB reviewing your budget is entitled to stop. We would rather not put you in that position.

What a site is never charged

This is enforced in the billing system, not only stated here. An attempt to meter an outcome fee against a site, site network, provider, or health system raises a compliance refusal in code and the charge is dropped — the referral still proceeds and the patient is still helped.
