Influence of Various Healing Intervals on Alveolar Ridge Preservation Using Demineralized Dentin Graft: A Randomized Clinical Trial

Statement of the problem: The alveolar ridge undergoes various remodeling processes following tooth extraction, but the ridge resorption continues over time, resulting in hard and soft tissue loss which complicates prosthodontic rehabilitation whether by dental implants or tooth supported prosthesis. Aim of the study: The aim of the study is to assess the influence of the different time intervals on the healing of the demineralized dentin graft in alveolar ridge preservation (ARP) procedures. Materials and methods: 30 patients with hopeless teeth requiring extraction in maxillary non molar areas and requiring replacement with dental implants, will be enrolled and recruited from the outpatient clinic, faculty of dentistry, ain shams university according to the inclusion criteria. They will be randomly allocated into three equal groups. Group A (n=10) alveolar ridge preservation will be done with demineralized dentin graft and re-entry at 12 weeks, group B (n=10) alveolar ridge preservation will be done with demineralized dentin graft and re-entry at 18 weeks and group C (n=10) alveolar ridge preservation will be done with demineralized dentin graft and re-entry at 24 weeks. Radiographic assessment will be done using CBCT to the arch of interest and another cone beam will be done prior to the implant placement at 11, 17 and 23 weeks based on the study group and a volumetric assessment will be done with digital subtraction. At the respective times core biopsy will be taken for the histological assessment, and the implant placement will be done with the implant primary stability recorded using Ostell. Postoperative medication will be prescribed to the patient and postoperative instructions will be explained in detail. Follow-up will be performed. Data collected will be tabulated and statistically analyzed.

Clinical Performance of a Novel Self-cured Resin Composite Compared to a Light-cured Bioactive Resin Composite Restoration in Proximal Cavities of Posterior Teeth

The development of dental caries is multi-factorial mainly due to the presence of 4 elements which are: dental biofilm, fermentable carbohydrates , dental hard tissue and time. Other additional social and environmental factors can have a substantial impact on the onset and course of the disease. Dietary habits, oral hygiene, salivary flow and fluoride exposure are key factors that influence the susceptibility to dental caries. If dental caries is properly managed, it is a preventable and reversible disease. The proximal teeth surfaces are the most susceptible sites for demineralization from the acidic byproducts. In modern restorative dentistry, clinicians always seek solutions that streamline procedures, improve outcomes and reduce chair time for patients. Traditional light-cured composite systems often involve a complex seven step process which includes etching, priming, bonding and curing which consumes from 90 to 120 seconds to be completed. With each additional step, the risk of technique errors increases, potentially compromising the longevity of the restoration. Self-cure composites, with their simplified application process, are emerging as a preferred choice over the traditional seven-step composite materials. Recently, a novel self-cured high-performance bulk-fill restorative material has been introduced into the market (Stela, SDI, Victoria, Australia). It's particularly known for its "unlimited" depth of cure and self-adhesive properties.

Accuracy of 3D Printed Custom-Made Registration Method for Dynamic Navigation Implant Surgery Using Mininavident in the Esthetic Zone: A Clinical Trial

This clinical trial evaluates the accuracy of a 3D printed custom-made registration method for dynamic navigation implant surgery using the Mininavident system in the esthetic zone of the anterior maxilla. Ten patients with a single missing anterior tooth will undergo CBCT-based planning, intraoral scanning, and guided implant placement using 3D printed registration markers. Postoperative CBCT analysis will measure deviations between planned and placed implants in terms of angular, coronal, and apical positions. The study aims to determine whether 3D printed markers provide clinically acceptable accuracy (\<2 mm, \<5ยฐ) and to assess their feasibility as a reproducible alternative to standard registration methods.

Acupoint TENS vs Resistance Training for Iron Deficiency Anemia

The current study is designed to compare between the effect of transcutaneous electrical acupoint stimulation and resistance exercises on hemoglobin level in women with iron deficiency anemia.The design of this study will be a randomized controlled trial (RCT) pretest post-test assessment.Sixty women diagnosed with iron deficiency anemia will be recruited in this study from Kafrelshiekh University Hospital, Kafrelshiekh Governorate, Egypt. Their ages will be ranged from 20 to 30 years old, and they will be randomly divided into three equal (n= 20) groups. Change in hemoglobin concentration (g/dL) after the intervention period and changes in RBC count, MCV, MCH, RDW, serum ferritin, fatigue level, and functional exercise capacity after treatment will be measured.
